As the name implies, Glass Cannon characters are characters that sport an insane amount of offense while having lackluster, paper-thin defenses. This is usually categorized by having a combination of high movement speed, high damage output or offensive pressure, and poor to below average Life values. Many characters in this category are forced to play as Rushdown Characters due to their frailty. Akuma from the Street Fighter series, Phoenix in Marvel vs Capcom 3, and Jigglypuff in the Super Smash Bros. series are all perfect examples of glass cannons. In short, these characters can dish out serious punishment, but are unable to take it themselves.
