You may have noticed that the layout of the {{Movedata}} template has changed somewhat. Specifically, that the damage and meter parameters have now been moved to the Frame Data section. This was to address the fact that specials with multiple variants may each have their own damage and meter gain values. Moves with only one version are mostly unaffected, so no changes are required for these. For moves with multiple versions, however, the damage and meter parameters have now been added to the {{Movedata Row}} template as well, so that each version now lists its own damage and meter gain values in the frame data section.

To assist in this, we have also created the {{Meter}} template, which used the following format:

{{Meter|X|Y|Z}}

  • X refers to the amount of meter gained on the attack's startup. For EX Specials and Super moves, this value will be a negative amount, usually -500, -1000, -2000, or -3000, depending on what level super the move is.
  • Y refers to the amount of meter Player 1 (the attacker) gains if the attack makes successful contact with the opponent on hit or block. Generally the values for hit and block will be identical, but for those that use different values for hit and block, please use a slash (/) to indicate this. For Super moves, this value should be 0.
  • Z refers to the amount of meter Player 2 (the opponent) gains if the attack makes successful contact with the opponent on hit or block. Generally the values for hit and block will be identical, but for those that use different values for hit and block, please use a slash (/) to indicate this.
